Program Description

33 Hours Classroom

Lean Six Sigma Green Belts lead multi-disciplinary teams in process improvement projects. During this 33 hours of classroom instruction the students will learn the Lean Six Sigma Improvement Methodology; its history, tools and process. They will also learn and master the basic tools and skills needed to lead a Lean Six Sigma Project. Upon completion the Green Belt will also be able to support Black Belts as a team member for Black Belt improvement projects. This training consists of three phases. Phase 1 is Classroom Instruction. Phase 2 is the Final Exam at the end of the training. Phase 3 is completion of a Green Belt Project.

At the end of the classroom portion of training, each participant will complete an exam to demonstrate understanding of the skills. During the Project Work portion of training, each Yellow Belt Candidate will complete a Lean Six Sigma Project under the guidance of an assigned Master Black Belt. Upon completion of all training and project requirements, each participant will be awarded a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification is preferred, but not required as a prerequisite for this program.
