Overhead Crane Training for General Industry

Overhead Crane Training For General Industry meets the requirements of OSHA 29CFR1910 Subpart N.  This to qualify operators with no licensing requirement.

Overhead Crane Operator is an 8 hour course designed to instruct crane operators of General Industry safety standards and overhead crane use to include a hands-on training component.  Emphasis is placed on Safe Operating Procedures.  Further instruction will include, but is not limited to:

  • Load Calculation
  • Awareness Level of Slings & Rigging
  • Crane Capacities
  • Safety Factors of Crane Components
  • Crane Inspection for Operators – Pre-use, Frequent Inspections and Periodic Inspections
  • Standard Hand Signals, Load Capacities and Test Loading
